For as long as time can remember, horses and Tipperary have been inextricably linked. As the home of some of the world’s most famous racehorses and the base for many of Ireland’s most experienced jockeys and trainers, the equestrian world is a serious business in these parts.

 

Having provided veterinary services to equine owners locally and across the country for over 35 years under O' Byrne and Halley, the need for A surgical clinic in the area became more evident and thus Fethard Equine Hospital (FEH), a purpose built, state of the art facility was established in 2007.  Since its inception, FEH has become a renowned specialist referral and first opinion veterinary center for horses throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe.

We are an ever growing hospital with a large dedicated team including  4 surgeons, medicine clinician, 8 qualified veterinary surgeon interns, 8 qualified veterinary nurses and numerous devoted support staff.  O'Byrne and Halley, our ambulatory practice of FEH consists of 17 experienced ambulatory veterinary surgeons.

The hospital offers a comprehensive specialist service in a range of disciplines.  Our hospital surgeons are consultants in their field, holding specialist qualifications endorsed with extensive clinical experience.  The combination of facilities and personnel available at FEH is unparalleled in providing innovative and specialist care for horses. 

 

The horses in our hospital are given the highest standard of veterinary care. We have veterinary surgeon interns residing onsite providing 24 hour care of inpatients. We have an excellent team of dedicated nurses and hospital staff with the experience and skill to look after all ages and breeds of horse that are admitted.
